Chapter 5 Reflection
Previewing and Brainstorming is what they mention in chapter five. Considering that I have already learned this during middle school it was another chapter of just reviewing what I've learned. The book in general, im assuming is just to review what we've learned and apply it in college. Articles and essays to preview one must look at the author's name, check the source of the article, and if there are no headings read the first sentence of the paragraph. I found that part interesting because i never looked at the author's name or the source, when reading an article. Overall, it was helpful knowing to find only the most important ideas in the material and note to see how they are organized.

Chapter 4 Reflection
Chapter four was definitely a lesson i have not learned. This chapter was very helpful because i always had trouble remembering vocabulary. I like how they used parts of words to figure out the meanings of words you dont know. The other subject they went over that i never knew was the dictionary. I always ignored most of what the entry contained. A very accessible chapter for the future.

Chapter 3 Reflection
While reading this section I learned that there are many clues to reading a textbook. There are tips such as context clues or definition clues to help one out with everything. Most of the stuff I already learned in middle school, but it was helpful to refresh on the topic. These clues will definitely help in the long run.
Chapter 2 Reflection
Most of the material i learned in this chapter i already knew. What i didnt know was that the author sat with students of a certain age group to help him write the textbook. He wrote the textbook in a way that would catch the students attention. He worked with students to find out what interested them when reading a textbook and what didnt. Most of the chapter was quite interesting, but i didnt think i needed to know any of it. Most of it i had already learned.
chapter 1 reflection
Chapter one was definitely a relief for me. I'm glad that there's a book that explains everything a regular college student (like myself) goes through. Throughout this chapter i realized my learning styles which were auditory and visulation. I also learned tips on how to concentrate better when studying for a test or a quiz. College is a big change in any young adults life, so tips are always helpful.
